Bringing in the New Year was one of the best times of my life. G had a big party at his house and it felt like he invited half of Kansas City over there. I danced the night away bringing in the New Year with my brothers and my love.

But now I had to hunker back down. I used the key Danita gave me and entered to see her cooking up something that smelled delicious. I went over to her and gave her a long sensual kiss.

“Mmm,” she moaned as she held out her lips for another one. I laughed but quickly obliged her.

I rubbed on her supple behind and said, “Hey baby. I got an important call to make. Can I use your office?”

“Of course you can.”

After sticking my finger in her secret spaghetti sauce, I went and settled into her office. I was working on my offer that I planned to present for the new job I was vying for. There was a new townhouse complex that had been approved to be built in downtown Kansas City and I wanted to be the electrician to put all the electrical systems in them.

So I had taken over Danita’s office as Mark and I talked on the phone working up our best pitch. Not wanting to disturb him, Danita just went in to give him something cold to drink and brought me a heaping plate of spaghetti with meatballs before tiptoeing right back out. After an hour, I came out and sat next to her on the couch.

“You figure everything out for tomorrow?’ she wondered.

“I hope so. We are as prepared as we can ever be,” I exclaimed as I yawned and stretched. I was so exhausted that all I wanted to do was climb into bed. Danita got up off the couch and grabbed my hand. “Where are we going?”

“WE…are going to put you in the shower and then WE…are going to bed. You’re tired babe.” I let her push me into the shower. Danita just went into the bedroom and got in her pajamas. We had not made love yet but still liked to spend the night together. We would just lie in bed, watch TV and cuddle. That is one of the endearing qualities I learned she appreciated about me. I wasn’t pushing her for more. Even though I wanted her more than anything, I was patiently following her lead.

I got out of the shower and walked out into the room with a towel hanging loosely around my waist as I grabbed my pajamas out of the drawer Danita assigned to me. From the corner of my eye I could see Danita staring at me. I smiled as I headed back into the bathroom and changed into some pajama pants before coming back out and crawling into bed. I laid on my back with one arm outstretched for an awaiting Danita. She quickly snuggled in and I turned off the light.

“Hey baby,” Danita said as she cozied up to him.
